Cougars Fall to Niagara County in Five Sets

GCC falls to NCCC, 3-2

BATAVIA, NY… Genesee Volleyball dropped a back-and-forth match to Niagara County on the road, 3-2.

The Thunderwolves jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, taking the first set 25-20. Genesee would answer right back, taking the second set 25-21. In the third set, Niagara County secured themselves a 25-15 win to go up 2-1 in the match. In the best of five format, Genesee needed a win in the fourth set to stay alive. The Cougars were able to pick up a win in the fourth set, narrowly edging out the Thunderwolves, 25-22, to push the match to the fifth and final set. Niagara County was able to take the fifth set, 15-10, taking the match with a final score of 3-2.

Genesee is back on their home court on October 2, when they welcome Monroe to Batavia at 12pm.
