BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team fell to the visiting Monroe Community College Tribunes Wednesday night 60-52.
Genesee outscored Monroe in the final quarter, but the rally came up eight points short against the NJCAA Division II Tribunes squad.
Jaelyn Morris had a game-high 17 points to lead all scorers. Lexi Wolck had nine points, and a monster day on the boards, collecting 12 rebounds. Emmi Veras had ten rebounds, and Desiree Zielinski had 11 rebounds off the bench. Sloan Jonathan, Ava Santiago, and Madison Hughson all scored for the blue and gold. Kiara van der Jagt scored eight points.
The Cougars will return to action on Saturday, November 23, as they host Fulton-Montgomery Community College at 1pm.
