Women's Volleyball Notch 7th Straight Win

BATAVIA, NY ... The Genesee Women's Volleyball team hosted their second POD of the season, matching up against the Herkimer General's and the Mohawk Valley Hawks. The Cougar's already 5 straight wins coming into the POD looked to continue that streak.

In their first game they set off against Herkimer, the ladies held it down in the first set, taking it 25-12. The second set is where things would get interesting for the Cougars, as the Generals forced it into a 24-24 tie, both teams needing a two point differential. The Cougars would get it done, taking the next two points, 26-24. They would then get the job done in the third set with a final set score of 25-19, conceding no set to the Generals.

The second game would be a clinic for the Cougars as they handed Mohawk Valley a 3-0 Win. The first set the Cougars would only allow single digits with it coming in at 25-9. The second set tallying at 25-17, then coming home with a 25-9 third set win. 

These two wins put the Cougars at 7 straight  and an undefeated 5-0 record at home. 

Women's Volleyball will travel to Jefferson Community College to take on the Cannoneers at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 24th.
