Women's Soccer adds Wolf
On December 6th, Alivia Wolf committed to the Genesee Women’s Soccer team for the 2025 season. Alivia is a 5’7” defender who started 4 years for the Holley Varsity girls’ soccer team. Wolf has recorded 44 career goals and 41 career assists for her high school team. She has been awarded Honorable Mention, Genesee All-Star, and All-Tournament Team during her four years as a varsity athlete, as well as being a captain during her senior season. During Alivia’s junior season, their team won sectionals and regionals, and then made it to the semi-finals in states. During her senior season, they were sectional finalists. She also plays for the Spencerport club team and is a basketball player and runs track for her high school. Liv has also been awarded Honorable Mention for both track and basketball. She is a part of the Interact Club at her school and is on High Honor Roll. Liv plans to major in Human Services while attending GCC.
Alivia will become one of many Genesee Cougars who have been from Holley. When the team went to Nationals in 2014, Nicki Mauro and Claudia Passarell, who are both Holley alum, played for the Cougars and won Regionals that year as well. Two other Holley Alum, Sarah Kingdollar and Tatum Gagne, played for the Cougars when they won regionals and went to the National Tournament in 2022. This past season Bella Thom, who was the starting center back for the Cougars, is also a Holley Alum and was on their team when they went to states. Both of Alivia’s parents went to GCC and played soccer here as well. Alivia’s mom, Renee Wolf, who coached her on Varsity also coached Assistant Coach Macy Reyngoudt when she went to Holley. “Renee was able to coach Macy when she was in eighth grade and now Macy gets the opportunity to coach Alivia. Things have really come full circle and we’re so excited to have Liv on the team. She’s a dynamic player and will be beneficial no matter what position she plays for us”, stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt.
Jeff and Macy have been meeting with a lot of recruits and have some more commitments coming up. The Cougars ended their 2024 season with an 8-3-2 record. If you are interested in trying out for next year’s 2025 Genesee Cougars, please email Jeff Reyngoudt at jcreyngoudt@genesee.edu.
