Women's Soccer adds first Commit
On November 26th, Eva Heineman committed to the Genesee Women’s Soccer team for the 2025 season. Eva is a 5’6” outside midfielder who started 3 years for the Alexander Varsity girls’ soccer team. Heineman was awarded Genesee All-Star. She also competed on the wrestling team for her school and ran the pentathlon for the track team. Her mile time was 7-mins flat, and she was Genesee All-Star in wrestling her second year, while also ranking 5th in the state. Eva plans to major in Nutrition with hopes of being a dietitian someday.
Eva will become one of many of the girls from Alexander who have played as a Genesee Cougar. “We love recruiting from Alexander because they are always hard-workers and have what it takes to be a competitive college soccer player,” stated Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt. To name a few, Carly Burgess, who is an Alexander alum, played for Genesee when they won Regionals and competed in the National Tournament in 2022 and ended up 4th in the country. Macie Riggs, also from Alexander, played for the Cougars in 2021 when they won Regional Finals and competed in the National Tournament as well.
Jeff and Macy have been meeting with a lot of recruits and have some more commitments coming up. The Cougars ended their 2024 season with an 8-3-2 record. If you are interested in trying out for next year’s 2025 Genesee Cougars, please email Jeff Reyngoudt at jcreyngoudt@genesee.edu.
