JAMESTOWN, NY... The Genesee Women's soccer team matched up against the Jayhawks of Jamestown Community College on Wednesday, October 16th. The team would go on to take out the Jayhawks in a 4-0 shutout win, capping off their regular season.
Sophomore Ruby Hoyt led things off for the Cougars, with a goal at the 7:00 Mark, assisted by Grace Devine, the second goal coming from Cayleigh Havens, assisted by Alicia Borden, and the last goal of the first half from Brittany Bliss, assisted by Beatriz Sartorato.
The final goal would come from Macy Altimirano at the 70:00 mark, which was assisted by Savanna Scheifla.
Women's Soccer looks to ride the momentum into the Region III playoffs as they stand at the 3rd seed and are set to play North Country Community College on Tuesday, October 22nd.
