BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's soccer team honored their sophomore class on Sunday afternoon, and then defeated the Corning Community College Red Barons
Catherine Wolck got Genesee on the board off a corner kick that was set up by Grace Devine and Ruby Hoyt in the 28th minute. Beatriz Sartorato would score on a PK eight minutes into the second half to increase Genesee's lead to 2-0.
Sarah Kidder made three saves in net to record the shutout.
The Cougars (4-1-2) will return to action on Wednesday, October 2 for a 6:30pm match against Onondaga Community College on Whiteout Night. Fans are encouraged to where white!
