BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's soccer team earned a 4-0 victory over the SUNY Broome Hornets Sunday afternoon.
Genesee got the scoring going early in the contest as Brooklyn Vienna scored, with Cayleigh Havens picking up the assist. Audrey Hurlburt made it 2-0 in the 24th minute off a pass from Alicia Borden. Ruby Hoyt would make it 3-0 in the second half from a Brooklyn Vienna pass. The lead would increase to 4-0 as Sofia Riquelme scored on a breakaway from Ruby Hoyt.
Sarah Kidder and Francine Stringham earned the team's second clean sheet of the season.
The Cougars will return to action on Wednesday, September 25 as they host Mohawk Valley CC at 6:30pm
