BATAVIA, NY… The #9 nationally ranked Genesee Community College women's soccer team defeated the North Country Community College Saints 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Genesee put pressure on North Country throughout the contest but was unsuccessful in beating Saints goalkeeper Samantha Hayes. That was however, until the last minute of play in the second half, as Megan Rinker scored on a breakaway to put Genesee on the board.
Sarah Kidder earned the shutout for Genesee.
The Cougars will host Roberts Wesleyan JV at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 17 for Sophomore Night. .
