Coble Joins Genesee Women's Soccer

Julie Coble signs with GCC Womens Soccer

BATAVIA, NY... Genesee Women's Soccer signed their fourth recruit, Julie Coble, on January 30th. Julie is a 5'7" defender and a 4-year varsity starter for Kendall High School girls' soccer team. She was a part of the Kendall team that won States in 2018. Coble also plays basketball, softball, and has played volleyball for her school. She was an All-State softball player and a Genesee Region All-Star. She is also on high honor roll and a part of the National Honor Society, as well as being Student Council Vice President. Julie plans to major in Nursing, due to the inspiration of her mother who is a Registered Nurse.

Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt is very excited about this current signing and sees Julie to be a strong asset to the upcoming season. "Julie reminds me a lot of Grace Pastuszynski. She has that grit and aggression that we need and I think she could fit into our defensive position well. With Grace graduating, there are big shoes to fill but I am confident that Julie has what it takes", stated Reyngoudt. Grace was awarded MVP at the Regional Finals Championship this past season, and as a defensive player that is hard to do. Jeff has had success recruiting from Kendall in the past. Ashley Makowski is a Kendall Alum who played on the Genesee Cougars team that competed in Nationals in 2014 and she was also one of the lead scorers during her time here.

Jeff and Macy have started this recruiting season strong and are working hard to add more great additions to the team. They will be signing more players in the coming months and are excited about next season's incoming class. The Cougars ended their 2021 season with a 15-3-1 record and competed at the National Tournament.
