The No. 6 Genesee Community College women's soccer team extended its shutout winning streak to five games with a 2-0 road victory in Syracuse against Onondaga Community College Oct. 17.
Current National Junior College Athletic Association D-III Women's Soccer Player of the Week Leah Czechowski led the team with a goal and an assist for a three-point afternoon.
Czechowski set-up Miko Yamashita for the game-winner just three minutes into the second half and then added an insurance goal with about five minutes remaining after receiving a feed from Diante Scheepers.
Jaclyn Guzdek recorded her nation-leading 11th shutout of the season and fifth-consecutive with a pair of saves.
Genesee will conclude its regular season at home against Broome Oct. 20 with a 1 p.m. start.
