BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Cougars women's basketball team faced a hard-fought battle against Fulton-Montgomery Community College, falling 46-37 in a defensive showdown. The Cougars led after the first quarter, 13-9, but struggled offensively in the second half, scoring only 11 points.
Lexi Wolck led Genesee with 12 points, including 4-of-6 free throws, and added two rebounds. Jaelyn Morris contributed 11 points and six rebounds, while Kiara Van der Jagt secured a team-high 10 rebounds. Despite their defensive efforts, the Cougars shot just 20% from the field overall.
