CORNING, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team traveled to Corning Community College Wednesday evening, dropping their Midstate Athletic Conference matchup against the Red Barons 42-26.  

Genesee struggled in the opening half but was able to play hard and move the ball up the floor in the second half.  Catherine Wolck scored a career and team high 15 points to lead the team while also contributing 7 rebounds. Desiree Zielinski scored 8 points for the Cougars. Jordyn Ertel added 3 points with 10 rebounds to round out scoring. 

The Cougars (0-7, 0-6) returns to action on Saturday as they host SUNY Adirondack. Tipoff from inside the Anthony T. Zambito Gymnasium will be at 1pm.
