Balanced Scoring Propels Cougars to Home Win vs Kats

BATAVIA, NY… Three scorers in double-digits carried the Genesee Community College Cougars women's basketball team to a 65-48 victory over the Erie Community College Kats Saturday afternoon. The victory puts the Cougars' record to 16-7 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.

TaLia Burgess scored a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Molly Buck scored 13 points and added six rebounds. LisBeth Pineda Polanco scored 13 points off the Cougars bench while adding five rebounds. Grace McComb led the team with nine assists to go with her five points.

Genesee is back in action on Wednesday evening as they travel to nationally-ranked Niagara County Community College. The battle between the Cougars and Thunderwolves will tip-off at 5:30 pm in Sanborn.
