Lady Cougars Sting Hornets for Second-Consecutive Win

The Genesee Community College women's basketball team wrapped up Crossover Tournament play in Corning with a second-consecutive win, this time over Broome Community College, 77-29.

Three Cougars registered double-digit points with the team's lone sophomore, Rosalyn Sealey, leading the way with 16 points. Sealey also had a team-high five steals to go with six rebounds.

Both Estella Anderson and Jasmine Holmes added 14 points, with the latter adding 10 boards for the team's only double-double. to go with a apir of blocks and steals on the afternoon.

Sealey and Anderson also combined for a dozen rebounds with each getting six apiece.

TaLia Burgess and Kierra Perl scored nine and eight points, respectively, off the bench with the latter adding four boards and two blocks. Burgess had the hot hand outside the arc where all her points came from by shooting 3-for-4.

Titilopemi Olusola recorded a team-high three blocks and had nearly half of all seven Cougar rejections.

Genesee hopes to make it three-in-a-row with its next game at Erie Community College Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m.
