Softball Adds Fletcher to Upcoming Recruit Class

Taylor Fletcher signs with Genesee Softball
On May 15th the Genesee Softball team virtually signed Taylor Fletcher of Alexander for their upcoming season. Taylor is a utility player with a strong bat who will be a huge asset to the cougars team. After coming off an ACL injury in the preseason of soccer, she was ready to tackle this years softball season. It would be the first senior sport she would be able to play this year, but unfortunately her senior year was cut short, Now shes even more eager to make a name for herself with the Cougars.

Fletcher, last season, hit a .381 with 19 RBIs and 20 runs scored. High school coach, Dan Prong, speaks very highly of her, stating, "it is her work ethic and dedication to the team that makes her a standout athlete". "Her determination and hard work is exactly what we are looking for to add to our program", adds Coach Taylor Spurling. "With her attitude paired with the immense talent and skill she has, we knew she was exactly the athlete we were looking for. She will be a great addition to our program," Spurling said.

The Genesee Cougar's Coaching staff are still in the process of recruiting for their 2020 team and have some more signings coming up in the next few months. If you are interested in trying out for next year's 2020 Genesee Cougars, please email Taylor Spurling at TNspurling@genesee.edu.
