CANANDAIGUA, NY... The Genesee Men's Soccer team set out to take on the Finger Lakes Lakers on Wednesday, October 9th. The Lakers would eventually down the Cougars with a final score of 2-1 in favor of Finger Lakes.
The lone goal from Genesee would be put into the net by Sophomore Casper Jaartsveld in the 11:52 minute mark, assisted by Kyrell Kavanagh. The Cougars would struggle offensively, going scoreless the rest of the game.
Goal keepers Alvaro Hermosa had 6 saves while allowing 1 goal, and Julius Christ had 3 saves, with 1 goal allowed.
The Cougars will look to bring things back to the winning column this sunday, October 13th as the match up against the Panthers of Tompkins Cortland.
