BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College men's soccer team shutout the #6 nationally-ranked Onondaga Community College Lazers Wednesday afternoon in the team's regular season home finale and Whiteout day.
Malik Watson scored Genesee's first goal of the match in the 14th minute off a rebound shot from Jan Bimmler. Watson would get his second on the match in the 53rd minute off a pass from Harrison Frearson. Frearson would score off a corner kick that was set up by Watson just two minutes later to increase the lead to 3-0. Fran Blake scored in the 81st minute off a Casper Jaartsveld pass, and then just four minutes later, Consti Zielke scored with the assist coming from Blake to make it 5-0.
Julius Christ made six saves between the pipes for Genesee.
The Cougars travel to Herkimer College to play the Generals on Saturday at 3:30pm.
