BATAVIA, NY… The win streak and clean sheets continued for the Genesee Community College men's soccer team Sunday afternoon, as they defeated the SUNY Broome Hornets 13-0.
Malik Watson scored off a pass from Jan Bimmler just 53 seconds into the game to open the scoring for Genesee. Kyrell Kavanagh made it 2-0 just four minutes later off pass from Watson. Kavanagh would score his second of the match with 27 minutes remaining to make it 3-0. Genesee would then score two more goals in the matter of 23 seconds as Jan Bimmler found the back of the net and then seconds later, Eduardo Leiva scored to make it 5-0. Casper Jaartsveld scored to make it 6-0 just three minutes later. Watson would score his second on the contest off a pass from Consti Zielke.  Jaartsveld would add to his goal total with his second of the contest in the 30th minute and then less than 20 seconds later, Consti Zielke scored. Bimmler would score his second of the match in the 37th minute to make it 10-0 before halftime. Watson would complete the hat trick in the 39thminute. Ethan Hemmings made it an even dozen for the blue and gold in the 41st minute off a pass from Leiva. 
Felipe Bueno scored to make it 13-0 to finish the scoring. 
Alvaro Hermosa and Piet Ruhnau earned the shutout in net. 
The Cougars will return to action on Wednesday, September 25 as they host Mohawk Valley CC at 4pm.
