Batavia, NY - The Genesee Men's Soccer team took home their first regular season win in their match-up against Bryant & Stratton Buffalo on Saturday, August 31st.
The Cougars took the runaway lead with a goal within 3.5 minutes of start time, the goal set in by Wesley Visser, assisted by Jan Bimmier. The Bobcats would follow up with a goal of their own 51 minutes into regulation, but not long after, Ed Lincoln put one deep into the net to make it a 2-1 Genesee lead. That goal, assisted by Rufus Boardman.
With a chance to even out the game, the bobcats eagerly looking to score. But the cougars defense held them to one score. With 11 seconds left in regulation, Kyrell Kavanagh scored an unassisted goal to seal the win against Bryant & Stratton.
The men will traval to Fulton Montgomery on September 8th to take on the Raiders.
