Men’s Soccer Advances to Region III Finals
BATAVIA, NY… The #1 nationally-ranked Genesee Community College men’s soccer team defeated the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks 6-0 Wednesday afternoon to advance to the NJCAA Region III B Championship game.

BATAVIA, NY… The #1 nationally-ranked Genesee Community College men's soccer team defeated the Jamestown Community College Jayhawks 6-0 Wednesday afternoon to advance to the NJCAA Region III B Championship game.
Kyrell Kavanagh would get Genesee on the board 13 minutes into the contest off a pass from Jan Bimmler. Axel Monells would score to make it 2-0 with 19 minutes remaining in the opening half. Malik Watson would find the back of the net just four minutes later off a Bimmler pass to make it 3-0. Watson would get his second just minutes later off a feed from Unai Cruz. Cruz would score on a PK to make it 5-0 prior to halftime. Kaleem Remekie would score early in the second half off a pass from Felipe Bueno to make it 6-0 Genesee.
Oliver Alaviuhkola and Alvaro Hermosa split time in net for the Cougars. Alaviuhkola made two saves, while Hermosa also made two saves.
