Men's Soccer Shutouts Corning

CORNING, NY…  The nationally-ranked Genesee Community College men's soccer team got back in the win column after a 15-0 victory over the Corning Red Barons Wednesday afternoon.

In a game that was dominated by the Blue and Gold, Genesee enjoyed a 10-0 lead at halftime and went on to a 15-0 victory.

Genesee Male Athlete of the Week Vitor Chriguer de Goes Vieiera had a five-point game, scoring three goals and adding two assists. Jose Manoel Cavalini also added a hat trick. Cameron Logan scored two goals. Ryan Curtis scored two goals and added an assist. Ed Port also scored two goals and added an assist.  Ollie Ardle scored a goal and added an assist. Hiago Barros de Souza also scored a goal. Nils Guenther added two assists. One of the Cougars goals occurred on a Corning own goal.

Adrian Bergman and Marcus Kenline combined to earn the shutout.

The Cougars continue their road trip this coming weekend at Suffolk Community College Saturday afternoon. The contest against the Sharks will be played at the Selden Campus of Suffolk CC.
