Eight Men’s Soccer Players Earn Post Season Accolades

NJCAA Region III highlights GCC Men's Soccer players

The National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association's Division III Region III selections were announced for men's soccer players with six Cougar players honored.

The Cougars' defense shined with two, first-team selections in Glenn Holmes and Ben Wattis; while Charlie Livesey made first-team as a forward.

Two midfielders took second-team honors in Philip Melo and Iyad Lablack, while David Ormiston was the second-team goalkeeper.

Prior to the all-region team, the Western New York Athletic Conference also released their first and second teams with seven Cougar players and one coach recognized.

Genesee men's soccer coach Ken Gavin shared Coach of the Year with Erie's coach, while  five Cougars were selected to the first team and two to the second.

Holmes, Livesey, Ormiston, Ryan Price and Hijiri Sano were all selected to WNYAC First-Team, while Wattis and Melo captured WNYAC Second Team.
