The No. 3 Genesee Community College men's soccer team completed its three-game road trip with a 10-0 win at Clinton Community College Oct. 15.
The Cougars' 10-goal performance put them over the 100-goal mark for the season as the team improves to 13-2-1 overall. Genesee has now extended its unbeaten streak to 13 games with a current four-game win streak where the Cougars have out-scored their opponents 33-4 during those wins.
Leading the way for Genesee with three goals and one assist was Billy Murphy with a seven-point outing, while Philip Melo and current National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association D-III Men's Soccer Player of the Week Charlie Livesey each added five points of their own.
Livesey had a goal and three helpers, while Melo had a pair of goals with one assist.
Glenn Holmes and Ben Wattis were the only other Cougars to be in on two or more goals with Holmes recording a goal and an assist, while Wattis registered a pair of goals.
Rounding out the goal-scoring for Genesee was Hayden Telles. Ross White, Iyad Lablack, Reyginald Zimmerman and Camilo Pernet Jimenez all added assists.
Gaurav Cheema recorded the win in net and posted back-to-back shutouts this weekend as the team now has eight on the season.
