Nine Men’s Lacrosse Players Named to All-Region Team

Nine members of the Genesee Community College men's lacrosse team have been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association's All-Region-III Team.

Of Genesee's selectees, three were from the attack position, three were midfielders, and three were selected from defense.

The first-team selections from Genesee were Jason Chiodo, Andrew Forte and Kevin McParlene, while second-team selections included: Jordan Brennan, Alex Mack, Evan Hollfelder, Mat Anderson, Hoya'daiwat John and Nate Ess.

Of the first-team selections, Chiodo is currently third on the team in points with 58, McParlene co-leads the team in points with 64, and Forte is the team's faceoff and groundball leader with 179 and 147, respectively.

Of the second-team midfielders and attackman, Brennan co-leads the team in points and assists with 64 and 30, respectively. Mack is fourth on the team in points with 50 and Hollfelder co-leads the team in assists with 30 and is fifth in scoring with 49 points.

The Cougars host Ocean County in a play-in national championship game May 5 at 12 p.m., with the winner advancing to the Final Four in Syracuse May 12-13.
