BATAVIA, NY… The #11 Genesee Community College men's basketball team earned their ninth straight win Wednesday night, as they defeated the Tompkins Cortland CC Panthers 70-67 on Sophomore Night. The win also clinched the Cougars the regular season Midstate Athletic Conference (MSAC) title.
Damont Hanton had a team-high of 18 points. Carlos Perez had 12 points and collected six rebounds. Rayvon Weir scored 10 points.
Prior to the game, Genesee took the time to honor sophomores Zaphian Scott, Andre Bowles, Damont Hanton, Zak Rushdan, Rayvon Weir, Antoine McFadden, and Jamai Jackson, and thanked them for their dedication and commitment to the men's basketball program.
