Men’s Basketball Rolls Past Onondaga

BATAVIA, NY… The #14 Genesee Community College men's basketball team won their sixth straight NJCAA Region III contest Saturday afternoon, defeating the Onondaga Community College Lazers 113-78.
Rayvon Weir had a standout night, scoring a game-high 34 points, making seven three pointers in the contest. Andre Bowles scored 16 points off the bench, collecting four rebounds as well. Damont Hanton scored 15 points, collected five rebounds, and dished out four assists. Carlos Perez scored 10 points. Every Cougars player that was dressed in the game scored points for the Blue and Gold.
The 113 points scored for Genesee is tied for seventh for most points scored in a single game in school history, joining their win against Corning on February 6, vs Medaille JV in 2013-14, and against Columbia-Greene in 2022-23.
Genesee will return home on Wednesday, February 12 for a 7pm tipoff against Cayuga Community College.
