Mens Basketball takes down JayHawks on the road

The Genesee Community College men's basketball team improved to 9-2 with the win on the road, 84-72. Zaphian Scott had a big game, recording a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. Antoine McFadden scored 14 points and added a game-high 14 rebounds, while Carlos Perez chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds as the Cougars spread things around.

The Cougars dominated on the glass, out-rebounding their opponent 51-35 while shooting a solid 46.7% from the field. Keysaun Murray also added 16 points off the bench to give the team key scoring.

Poor shooting at the free-throw line (47.4%) aside, strong second-half shooting and defensive rebounding for Genesee sealed this one. The Cougars will hope to keep their momentum going into the next one.

The Men will have to wait to continue their dominance until January 9th when they head to Monroe CC for a 6 PM tip-off.
