BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team started their Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) slate Wednesday evening against the Monroe Community College Tribunes and won 87-82.

Selassie (Tyler) Bourne led all scorers with 22 points and collected 13 assists and seven rebounds. Jalen Willis scored 18 points while Jean Aristil scored 17 and Devin Green scored 13 for the Cougars.  

Genesee (12-4, 1-0) will travel to Mercyhurst Northeast Saturday at 3pm.
