Cougars highlight dominant hitting and pitching

Genesee Community College demonstrated impressive offensive firepower across both games, securing back-to-back wins while piling up 29 runs on 28 hits combined. Their standout performance came in Game 2, where Jaxen Lehr threw a perfect game, securing a 15-0 shutout. With strong batting, aggressive base-running, and solid pitching. 

Game 1:
Baseball delivered a strong offensive performance, securing a 14-4 victory against Corning Community College. Cooper Hassall led the way with a double, a triple, and four RBIs, while Patricio Garcia contributed three RBIs and four stolen bases, keeping the pressure on the defense. Wyatt Argentieri added a home run to Genesee's powerful attack. On the mound, Shawn Kimball pitched four innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, while Andrew Davis closed out the final inning with a hitless frame. Genesee broke the game open with an eight-run fourth inning, maintaining control and securing a decisive win.

Game 2:
Baseball put together a dominant 15-0 victory, highlighted by Jaxen Lehr's perfect game. Lehr faced 15 batters and allowed no hits, walks, or errors, with three strikeouts over five flawless innings. The offense backed him up with 13 hits, including a home run from Brian Tisa, who drove in three RBIs. Tarek Emara contributed with two hits and three RBIs, while Ryan Higgins and Cooper Hassall added multiple hits and RBIs to fuel the offensive explosion. A six-run third inning secured their momentum, as Genesee dominated on both sides of the ball.

They look to continue the momentum as they travel to Onondoga Community College on April 22nd for a doubleheader against the Lazers.
