Genesee Sweeps Jamestown in Afternoon Doubleheader
Genesee Community College Cougars Blow Out Jamestown Community College
Genesee Community College Cougars had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Jamestown Community College, 13-3. GCC took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Kade Burkovich singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run, Zavian Crosby singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Anthony Hampton singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, and Girvin Finch singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. Tyler Peterson got the win for Genesee. Peterson allowed four hits and three runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
Jackson took the loss for Jamestown. The pitcher allowed 13 hits and ten runs over three and a third innings, striking out five. Genesee hit one home run on the day. Victor Alongi put one out in the fifth inning. GCC also racked up 14 hits on the day. Efrain Pantoja, Wilfredo Perez, Alongi, Hampton, and Finch all managed multiple hits for Genesee. Perez and Pantoja each managed three hits to lead the Cougars. Jamestown was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Porpiglia made the most plays with seven.

Genesee Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Jamestown
Genesee Community College Cougars sailed to an easy victory over Jamestown Community College 8-1 on Thursday. GCC opened up scoring in the first inning. Genesee scored one run when Kade Burkovich singled. The Cougars tallied four runs in the second inning. Christian Lopez, Burkovich, and Wilfredo Perez each had RBIs in the frame. Korey Canton got the win for Genesee. The righthander allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out two. Cristopher Lopez and Michael Delgado entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Kemery took the loss for Jamestown Community College. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one and walking one. Potter started the game for Jamestown. Potter surrendered seven runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out three Perez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead GCC in hits. Gonzalez led Jamestown with two hits in three at bats.
