In the first game, Jon Faynor, Fontanez (double) and Martinez had hits.

"Cayuga came to play in game 1, they were aggressive at the plate and put a nice game together with pitching and defense," said Genesee head coach Skip Sherman. "We had a better approach in the second game, but it really started with Jason Faynor. He had command of all four of his pitches and it was fun to watch him on the mound hitting his spots."

The Cougars return home on Sunday, April 7 at 1 pm as they host the Alfred State Pioneers JV.
