Petra (Pànkovà) Knoche was an accomplished women’s basketball player scoring 1021 career points. She was a first team All Region player in the 1995-1996 season and the Region III Player of the Year in the 1996-1997 season. She also led the women’s basketball team to two national championship appearances. She went on to play basketball at Cleveland State University where she earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in Communication. She is currently the assistant director of the International Students and Scholars Office at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She is active in her local community and has spent several years assistant coaching the women’s basketball team at Oakland University.
