Luckey Scores Twice in Couagrs Win Over HVCC

GCC defeats HVCC 6-1

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Women's Soccer program improved to 5-0 on the 2021 season with a win over Hudson Valley, 6-1.

 

Bryn Luckey got the scoring started for Genesee as she netted her first goal of the day at the 5:11 mark with an assist from Ashley Bliss. Bliss would then bury one in the net (13:21) to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. Luckey added her second goal of the game (38:13) with Grace Pastuszynski adding the assist to help give the Cougars a 3-0 at the half.

 

Ayuka Toshimoto would score her only goal of the day, with Gabby Bigham and Ashley Bliss being credited on the assist, four minutes into the second half. The Cougars' lead would later grow to 5-0 as Nya Johnson added another score for Genesee. Hudson Valley got themselves on the scoreboard late in the game with a goal from Mikayla Bechtel to make it 5-1, but Genesee would add one more goal before the final horn as Macie Riggs snuck one from score in for the Cougars with seven seconds remaining in regulation.

 

Bliss finished the day with one goal and two assists. Kelsey Fuller added two more assists to her season total.

 

Genesee is back in action on September 21 when they head to St. John Fisher College to take on the Cardinals JV team.
