NORTHEAST, PA… The Genesee Community College women's volleyball team lost in four sets to the Mercyhurst Northeast Saints Thursday night in Western New York Athletic Conference action.

After taking the first set 25-18, the Blue and Gold lost the next three consecutive sets (25-14,26-24,25-20). The Cougars are now 6-4 on the season and 1-3 in conference play.

Grace Masse had seven assists as did Neely Abrams. Alecia Hinkson had eight kills and Ana Carolina Cerezer Pinto had seven. Alexis Eighmey had five digs and Cerezer Pinto had five solo blocks.

Genesee returns to action on Saturday in pod play at Finger Lakes CC in Canandaigua, NY against Erie Community College, Jamestown Community College, and Niagara County Community College.
