Genesee Women's Soccer Adds Ross to 2021 Season

Daucoda Ross joins Genesee Women's Soccer recruiting class

Genesee Women's Soccer just signed their seventh recruit of the year, Daucoda Ross, on March 13th. Daucoda is a center defender and a 3-year varsity starter for Hamburg girls' soccer team. Ross was a captain on her team and received ECIC First Team in 2020 and ECIC Second Team in 2019. She was also named Honorable Mention and received the Director's Key Award for her school. She is currently in National Honor Society. Daucoda also plays basketball for her high school. She plans to major in General Studies while at GCC.

Head Coach Jeff Reyngoudt and Assistant Coach Macy Reyngoudt are ecstatic about this signing. "We knew we wanted Daucoda the moment we saw her touch a ball. We went to one of her games during the fall and fell in love with how she plays and commands the field. After the game when we waited to talk to her, she was the last player off the field- picking up cups and carrying equipment. I asked her if it was her turn to carry equipment and she very frankly said 'Oh, I do it after every game'. That is the definition of the player we are looking for. Someone with hard-work, determination, leadership, and just an all-out good person. We couldn't be happier with this signing", stated Jeff.

Jeff and Macy are finishing up recruiting for the 2021 Fall season. They have spoken to a few more 2021 prospects and are starting to round out their team. They have high hopes for the team to exceed people's expectations next year. The Cougars season is scheduled to play this spring and their first game is on April 2nd at Mohawk Valley.
