Young Signs With Genesee Women's Soccer

madison young signs letter of intent to join genesee womens soccer recruiting class

Genesee Women's Soccer just signed their fourth recruit of the year, Madison Young, on December 22nd. Madison is a defender and a 4-year varsity starter for Warsaw girls' soccer team. She was Captain her senior season and also Captain of the basketball team during her Junior year. She was awarded the Sportsmanship Award for soccer as a Junior, Best Defensive Player for basketball in 2018, and is currently on National Honor Society while ranked 12th in her class. Young was on the team when Warsaw won the Sectional Title for soccer and softball in 2019, as well as Division Champs for both sports in 2017 and 2018. Maddie's softball team also went on to be State Finalists in 2018. She is in the Health Academy and plans to major in Nursing while at GCC.

When Jeff and assistant coach, Macy Reyngoudt, met with Maddie and her family, they were pleased with her charisma and drive for the game. "Maddie's work ethic alone is why we wanted her so badly. She is truly someone who will give you everything she has, and then some. We're excited for her to be a part of this team and we know she will fit right in", said Head Coach Jeff.

Jeff and Macy are getting the ball rolling when it comes to recruiting for the 2021 Fall season. They have been working hard speaking to 2021 prospects and will be signing more players in the coming year. They are excited about next year's incoming class and have high hopes for the team to exceed people's expectations. The Cougars season is scheduled to play this spring.
