Women's Basketball

Dena Piatek returns to the Genesee Community College Women’s Basketball program for her eleventh season as an assistant coach for the 2019-20 season. She is a graduate of Lackawanna Senior High School where she was a four year varsity member of the basketball, softball and volleyball teams – earning 1st and 2nd team All-Star honors all four years, 1981-1985. Coach Piatek attended Hilbert College and played basketball and softball for two years, and volleyball for one. She was inducted into the Hilbert College Hall of Fame in 1994. She is also a 2019 inductee into the WNY Softball Hall of Fame. 

Coach Piatek was an assistant coach at Hilbert College 1987-90 and 93-94, along with being an assistant at Erie Community College 1992-93, as well as working several summer basketball camps including Hilbert College and the University at Buffalo.
