BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team earned their first victory of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves 51-30. The win also marks the first collegiate victory for head coach Jeff Parizek.  

Catherine Wolck had a game-high 15 points to lead the way for Genesee. Wolck also collected 12 rebounds and had three steals. Tatum Gagne scored 12 points, collected nine rebounds, and dished out six assists. Desiree Zielinski scored 14 points. Emilee Wright scored six points, while Sydney Hnat and Jordyn Ertel also contributing both offensively and defensively for the Cougars. Ertel picked up 13 rebounds.  

Genesee will play host to Hudson Valley Community College Sunday afternoon at noon.
