BATAVIA, NY... The Genesee Women's Basketball program wrapped up their regular season with a road win over Corning on Thursday night, 70-56. Genesee finished the regular season with a 14-7 record and earned the #5-seed in the Region III Division III Women's Basketball Championship Tournament.

Genesee will host the #12-seed Tompkins Cortland in the tournament's opening round. The Cougars have two previous wins over the Panthers this season; an early season road victory over TC, 64-52, and a home win last month, 67-40. Tip-off for the opening round matchup is set for Saturday, February 19, at 1pm in the Anthony T. Zambito Gymnasium on the GCC campus. 

The victor will go on to face the #4-seed Herkimer College Generals on Tuesday, February 22, in the Region III quarter-finals.
