BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College women's basketball team defeated the SUNY Broome Hornets 54-49 on Sophomore Day Saturday afternoon. 

Mackenzie Gratto had a team-high 13 points while collecting eight rebounds and handing out three assists. Julianna Amesbury scored 11 points for Genesee while Jillian Curtis scored nine points and collected 12 rebounds. Logan Shaulis scored seven points and collected 11 rebounds. Marin Abe scored seven points with six rebounds, six assists, and two steals. 

Genesee (13-6 9-4) travels to Herkimer College Tuesday at 5pm.
