ERIE,NY... The Genesee Women's Basketball program picked up a big win on the road on Saturday over regional opponent, Erie.

Alayah Sweeney finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds, leading the way for Genesee to cruise to a 30 point victory. LisBeth Pineda Polanco chipped in 15 points, going 7-10 on field goal attempts, and collected 4 rebounds. Gabrielle Burroughs had 10 points, shooting 4-5 from the field. Tylasia Weaver also had 9 points and 4 rebounds in the solid team win. 

Genesee (12-10, 5-1) is back home on Wednesday, February 19th vs Niagara County Community College at 5:30pm, then back on the road for the regular season finale at Jamestown Community College on Saturday, February 22nd, at 1pm. 

The women's and men's doubleheader on February 19 will be a "Red Out", as Genesee is asking all fans in attendence to wear red in support of heart health. Red shirts will be available for purchase, while supplies last, with the proceeds going to the American Heart Association.
