Women's Basketball Falls at Villa Maria

BUFFALO, NY… The Genesee Community College Cougars drops their sixth straight contest, falling on the road at Villa Maria College 86-54 Monday night. The Cougars record now sits at 3-6 entering the Thanksgiving holiday break.

Recently named female athlete of the week Alayah Sweeney led the way with a double-double, scoring 19 points and collecting 10 rebounds. LisBeth Pineda Polanco recorded 11 rebounds to go along with her six points. Haley Alvord scored seven points and collected seven rebounds. Gabrielle Burroughs and Erina Ishiguro scored five points each for the Cougars.

Genesee returns home on Wednesday, December 4th at 5:00 pm as they host the Bryant & Stratton College of Syracuse Bobcats. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
