Women's Basketball Succumbs to Late Game Charge from Tribunes

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee women's basketball team came up short in their Western New York Athletic Conference contest against the #10 Monroe Community College Tribunes 64-61 on Saturday afternoon. The loss puts the Cougars' record to 13-6 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.

Erina Ishiguro led the Cougars in scoring with 15 points while being perfect behind the three-point line. LisBeth Pineda Polanco scored 11 points while TaLia Burgess and Chevaneese Millington added 10 points each.

Genesee returns home on Wednesday, January 30, as the Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves come to town with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 pm.
