Genesee's men's and women's swim teams are traveling to Florida for this year's NJCAA National Championship starting on March 4th and ending on March 7th. Ten of the swimmers will be competing this year in various different events. The first day starts off with swimming prelims at 9:30am, beginning with the 50-yard Breaststroke. Ashley Hearn is competing in this event for the women and Ethan Heim and Brandon Cutter will be competing for the men. Genesee's Hunter Camacho and Tyler Stachowiak will next hit the pool for the 1000-yard Freestyle. Heim, with a short break, will be competing in the 200-yard Individual Medley. The last event that the team will be participating in that morning will be the 50-yard Freestyle, where Brianna McMullen is competing for the women and Brandon Cutter, Raymond Pray, and record-breaking Carlitos Sanchez compete for the men. If any of them make it into the finals, they will be competing again that evening at 5:30pm.

The following day, March 5th, starts off with the 200-yard Freestyle Relay at 9:30am. Both of our men's and women's relay teams will be competing in this event starting with Ashton Laird, Ashley Hearn, Ana Cerezer, and Brianna McMullen for the women and the men will kick off with Tyler Stachowiak, Hunter Camacho, Ethan Heim, and Carlitos Sanchez. Laird and Sanchez will then get back into the pool for the 50-yard Backstroke and shortly after Camacho will reenter the pool for the 400-yard Individual Medley. Laird, with another short break, and Hearn will swim the 200-yard Freestyle for the women and Stachowiak will compete for the men. The morning will finish off with Stachowiak leading in the 400-yard Medley Relay, followed by Heim, Camacho, and Sanchez. The finals will take place later that day at 5:30pm.

On Friday, March 6th, McMullen and Laird will start the day with the 100-yard Individual Medley and shortly after Stachowiak and Camacho will swim the 500-yard Freestyle. Next up is Sanchez's first event of the day, 100-yard Backstroke. Hearn will get back in the pool for the 100-yard Breaststroke and Heim and Cutter will also be competing in this event. The team's last event of this morning is the 200-yard Medley Relay with Sanchez, Heim, Camacho, and Stachowiak and the finals will take place in the evening.

The last day of the National Championship, Saturday, March 7th, will start promptly with McMullen competing in the 50-yard Butterfly for the women's team and then Stachowiak and Camacho will be entering the pool for the 1650-yard Freestyle for the men's team. McMullen's second event of the day is the 100-yard Freestyle, where Laird, Cerezer, and Sanchez will be competing as well. Hearn's first event for the last day is the 200-yard Breaststroke, along with Heim and Cutter. The morning is then rounding out with both the men's and women's teams competing in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay starting with Laird, Hearn, Cerezer, and McMullen for the women and Stachowiak, Camacho, Heim, and Sanchez for the men.
