HENRIETTA, NY… The Genesee Community College Swimming & Diving team participated at the Monroe CC December Invite Saturday. Genesee swam against the Fashion Institute of Technology, Erie Community College, and Monroe Community College.  

Tyler Stachowiak won the men's 1650 freestyle and 200 IM. Daniel Nickerson won the 200 freestyle. Carlitos Sanchez won the 50 freestyle with Raymond Pray finishing third. Ethan Heim finished third in the 100 IM. Sanchez also won the 100 freestyle and placed second in the 50 butterfly. Raymond Pray won the 100 backstroke. Stachowiak placed second in the 500 freestyle while Ethan Heim won the 50 and 100 breaststroke. The relay team of Carlitos Sanchez, Daniel Nickerson, Ethan Heim, and Tyler Stachowiak won the 800 freestyle relay.

Bria Ohlson placed fourth in the women's 200 freestyle. Brianna Davis, Ashley Hearn, and Madison Hammond raced in the 50 freestyle. Ashton Laird finished second in the 500 freestyle and placed sixth in the 100 IM. Davis and Ana Carolina Cerezer Pinto raced in the 100 freestyle. Bria Ohlson and Madison Hammond placed third and fourth respectively in the 100 backstroke. Ashley Hearn and Bri Davis placed first and second in the 50 breaststroke. Ana Carolina Cerezer Pinto finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke.

Genesee's next meet will be on Saturday, January 18 at Roberts Wesleyan College.
