AUBURN, NY… The no.11 nationally-ranked Genesee Community College men's basketball team earned a hard-fought victory over the Cayuga Community College Spartans 70-67 Wednesday night inside Spartan Hall.
Elijah Gonzalez had a game-high 23 points for the Cougars, with 15 points coming from behind the arch. Gonzalez also had three assists and three steals. Rayvon Weir scored 18 points, while Jo'El King scored 13 points. Wayne Longmore collected 12 rebounds.
The victory was Genesee's 16th of the season, and 10th in the Mid-State Athletic Conference.
Genesee will return home on Friday afternoon at 5pm as they host Clinton Community College.
