Cougars Fall to the Kats in Erie

ERIE,NY... The Genesee Men's Basketball program dropped to Region III opponent, Erie Community College on Saturday, February 15th. 

Souleymane Gueye led the Cougars in scoring, finishing with 22 points and 4 rebounds, but Erie still pulled out the eight-point victory. Jalen Willis had 19 points, going 9-10 on free throw attempts, grabbed 5 rebounds, and had 4 assists. Devin Green added a double-double, with 17 points and 11 rebounds, he also dished out 5 assists. Jordan Matos contributed 10 points and 4 assists to the scorebook as well. 

Genesee (16-8, 4-4) is back home on Wednesday, February 19th vs Niagara County Community College at 7:30pm, then back on the road for the regular season finale at Jamestown Community College on Saturday, February 22nd, at 3pm. 

The women's and men's doubleheader on February 19 will be a "Red Out", as Genesee is asking all fans in attendence to wear red in support of heart health. Red shirts will be available for purchase, while supplies last, with the proceeds going to the American Heart Association.
