BATAVIA, NY… This past weekend, the Genesee golf team competed in the North Country at Jefferson and at SUNY Adirondack.
The Genesee Community College golf team started out at the Jefferson Community College Invitational hosted at the Elms Golf Club in Sandy Creek, NY on Friday, April 26. Genesee finished in 6th place. Ryan Douglas shot a 91. Branden Kowalski shot a 95 while Matt McCoy (101) and Joe Amico (106) rounded out the team.
Saturday, the team traveled to the SUNY Adirondack Invitational with the Cougars coming in eighth place. Ryan Douglas once again led the way for Genesee with a 92. Branden Kowalski and Matt McCoy both shot a 100 and Joe Amico shot a 104.
Sunday, the team competed in the Hudson Valley Invitational at Frear Park Golf Course and the team finished in seventh place. Ryan Douglas shot a 92 while Matt McCoy was five strokes behind. Branden Kowalski shot a 102 and Joe Amico shot a 110.
Genesee will start their WNYAC play this coming weekend against Jamestown CC Friday at Chautauqua Golf Course and on Saturday against Niagara County Community College at Willowbrook Golf Course. Genesee will host their annual Genesee Invitational Sunday, May 5 at Batavia Country Club.
