"Corning has a good hitting team, and they've played a lot of games this week, so it was good to get deep into their pitching rotation," said Genesee head coach Skip Sherman. "This is a team that always plays us tough and gets a few wins against us, so we are very pleased to come out of this series ahead. Our hitters were very disciplined today, driving off-speed pitches and outside pitches opposite field and turning on the pitches middle-in."

Genesee is back in action on Saturday, April 6 when they travel to Cayuga Community College. The games against the Spartans will take place at Falcon Park in Auburn. The Cougars return home on Sunday, April 7 at 1 pm as they host the Alfred State Pioneers JV.
